Wellness Visits and Vaccines
Annual wellness checks enable us to pick up on issues before they become significant. It is also a great time to catch up our four legged friends on their needed vaccinations. Coyote Ridge also offers licensing with the county.
If you recently welcomed a new cat or dog in your house, we advise you to book an appointment within the first few days of ownership to ensure your new companion is healthy.
Your pet’s comprehensive physical examination will include temperature and weight, assessment of all body systems (eyes, ears, mouth/dental health, bones and joints) as well as any necessary diagnostic work up (blood, fecal and urine screening).
Sick Visits and Urgent Care
Injuries and illness can happen at any time, and we are always available to help. We always save same days appointment and always endeavor to never turn any pet who may need help away we can provide(wether you are an existing client or not and wether we have seen your pet prior or not). Because of this philosophy, we also accept walk-ins.

Parasite Prevention
Parasite prevention is crucial for a pet's overall health because parasites like fleas, ticks, and worms can lead to a range of health issues. These parasites can cause discomfort, skin infections, and allergic reactions. More seriously, they can transmit diseases and internal infections that may affect a pet's organs and overall well-being. For example, fleas can carry tapeworms, while ticks can transmit Lyme disease. Preventive measures such as oral tablets, flea collars, and spot-on treatments help protect pets from these risks, ensuring their comfort and reducing the likelihood of more severe health problems. Regular preventive care can also prevent the spread of parasites to other animals and even humans.
Vaccines
Vaccinations are vital for a pet’s overall health as they protect against a variety of serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. By stimulating the immune system, vaccines help prevent illnesses like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and feline leukemia, which can cause severe health issues or be fatal. Regular vaccinations not only safeguard individual pets but also contribute to herd immunity, reducing the risk of disease outbreaks in the pet community. Staying up-to-date with vaccinations ensures that pets remain healthy, protected, and less likely to transmit diseases to other animals or humans.
